Hôpital Albert Schweitzer Tennis Fundraiser
Saturday, March 13th
We invite you to join us for a tennis mixer to benefit the restoration of the tennis court at Hôpital Albert Schweitzer in Deschapelles, Haiti.
The court is used for tennis programs for under-served youth in Haiti, with 50 kids participating each day in tennis instruction. Founded in 1956 by Americans Dr. Larry Mellon and Gwen Grant Mellon, Hôpital Albert Schweitzer (HAS) provides integrated hospital and community-based healthcare to more than 350,000 residents in a 610 square mile service area in the lower Artibonite Valley in Haiti. HAS is the only full-service hospital (131-beds) in the region and provides quality health care through its main hospital campus and four community health centers. HAS employs nearly 500 staff members, 98% of whom are Haitian.
